I was delighted to give the opening recital of the Bosendorfer Piano Series organised by Markson Pianos. In July I teamed once again with the conductor Owen Leach in performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto, this time with Tudor Orchestra.
In October I gave the second recital in one year (first in January) in Bury series in Manchester, after being hailed as their favourite performer and also performed for the first time in Bury St Edmunds at the Cathedral.
I was selected to give one of the five recitals for the Blackheath Halls fundraising series in November. The concert was preceded by a lecture on Prokofiev and suitably started the concert with the Prokofiev’s 3rd sonata.
And in marking Liszt’s bicentenary celebrations, I have this year performed Après une Lecture de Dante, or otherwise known as the Dante Sonata, over a dozen times including at the lecture on Dante’s Divine Comedy by Graham Fawcett at St Olave’s in London’s Hart Street.
This year I have also performed Barber’s sonata, which remains one of my all-time favorites and have also included Rafet Rudi’s ‘Arbereshe Bells’ in majority of my recitals.
Ans I was particularly pleased to give an extensive interview for the Tea Moderna magazine in Macedonia, published both in Macedonian and Albanian languages.
